Form Five student hospitalised after suspected poisoning at Perak school


PETALING JAYA: A Form Five male student was admitted to hospital after he was suspected of drinking a poisonous substance within the grounds of a school in Sungai Siput, Perak on Friday.

Sungai Siput OCPD Supt Charan Ai Wan said the victim was sent to hospital for treatment and is now reported to be in stable condition, reported Sinar Harian.

“Initial investigations found no criminal element in the incident,” he said in a statement.

He said further investigations into the case are still ongoing and advised the public not to speculate over the incident.

“The cooperation of all parties is needed to respect the victim’s privacy and to avoid interfering with police investigations,” he said.
