KOTA KINABALU: Malaysian security forces expect a better response time to any situation along Sabah’s east coast with the upgrading and repairing of 94 patrol vessels by next month.

Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) chief executive Ruji Ubi said the work including installation of new engines and tracking equipment on the patrol boats would be completed by the end of the month.
