RUGBY TOURNAMENTThe seventh edition of the Victoria Institution (VI) Premier 10s Rugby Tournament will be held today and tomorrow at the VI Green, Victoria Institution, Jalan Hang Tuah, Kuala Lumpur from 8am to 6pm. It promises to be an exciting event as 32 high school teams including one from Singapore will be participating in the U15 and U17 categories.

The Mah Meri is one of the 18 tribes of orang asli living in peninsula Malaysia. The Mah Meri are known for their wood carvings, impressive masks, and the richness of their songs and dances. One of the most well-known dances of the Mah Meri people is the mask dance, called Mayin Jo-oh – a traditional dance performed to invite the ancestral spirits, or muyang, to join in the festivity. Organised by cultural NGO Pusaka, there will be talk on the Mah Meri tomorrow by activist Rashid Esa and Pusaka founder-director Eddin Khoo at 4pm at Black Box, Publika, Solaris Dutamas, Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia Cat Club is holding various events for cat owners today at Setia City Convention Center in Shah Alam. Among the activities are a Cat Breeder Education Seminar by Dr Ursula Zabel, cat grooming class, Q&A session with a veterinary doctor about cat diseases and a session with the Quarantine Department about import and export permit.
