KUALA TAHAN: After a challenging monsoon season, Mutiara Taman Negara Resort announced that it was now once again welcoming visitors from near and far with its soft reopening that took place on March 1.
All the friendly faces of Mutiara Taman Negara Resort personnel and associates are back at their stations and eager to serve guests in every which way possible to make their stay as memorable as the resort itself.
During the record high water levels some of resort areas were damaged and now the damaged equipment has been replaced with new and all areas cleaned and painted.
New water filtration systems, telephone switchboard, and new Astro communications have been installed and commissioned.
Not to miss an opportunity, general manager Nathan Vaithi issued instructions for all chalets to be stripped bare and totally cleaned and spruced up and then all tested again.
Other changes include having transfers from KL going directly to the resort. Mutiara Taman Negara Resort will no longer be featuring the boat transfer from Kuala Tembeling jetty, as the new system is faster, more streamlined and efficient.
Nathan said: “Without the kind assistance of the wildlife authorities and local government, the jerantut police chief, the District Officer and member of Parliament, we would not have been able to bounce back as sprightly as we have and for that, we are greatly indebted to them.”
He also paid tribute to those who repaired the roads.
