Caring effort: Dr Lim (left) and SAC Abdul Rahman (fourth from left) sharing a light moment after the handover ceremony at the company’s warehouse in Jalan Bagan Lallang, Butterworth.

CLOTHING and pillows worth RM5,000 were donated to the East Coast flood victims by BGM Group in Penang.

BGM Group of Companies managing director Dr Lim Ngau handed over the items to North Seberang Prai OCPD Senior Asst Comm Abdul Rahman Ibrahim during a ceremony at the company’s warehouse in Jalan Bagan Lallang, Butterworth, recently.

SAC Abdul Rahman said he was there to witness the flood devastation.

He added that situation was very bad as 141 families lost their homes entirely while the rest were left with damaged homes.

“Many victims were also unable to receive aid as they lived far from the relief centres and do not have transport to get there," he said in his speech.

The items will be collected and delivered in police trucks on Feb 12.
