Police hopes aged patrol cars will be replaced to improve efficiency

JOHOR BARU: The Royal Malaysian Police hopes that the government will gradually replace police patrol vehicles within the next three years to increase its efficiency in tackling crime and emergency cases nationwide.

Bukit Aman Crime Prevention Department director Comm Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said that more than 80% of the force’s 3,600 patrol vehicles currently used were aged eight years and above.
