Relief for victims: Workers loading Ayam Brand products that will be shipped off to the affected areas.

AYAM Brand has donated hundreds of cartons of its canned products to the Islamic Development Malaysia Department (Jakim) to help flood victims across several states.

The items included Malaysian favourites such as sardines in tomato sauce and baked beans which are high in protein, calcium, Omega 3 and fibre and do not contain preservatives or monosodium glutamate.

Ayam Brand human resources manager Mohd Daud Ibrahim said the donation was part of the company’s social responsibility efforts and is in direct response to current needs.

“We hope the items will provide some relief to the victims as they rebuild and return to their homes,” he said.

In addition to corporate contributions, Ayam Brand employees also helped flood victims by donating money to purchase more products for flood victims.

“We are delighted that more than a thousand cans of Ayam Brand products were contributed by our employees alone and that the culture of giving and helping is strong,” said Ayam Brand halal coordinator Mohd Hisham Talib.
