Gin and bear it

This week, our tipsy columnist has juniper berries and cucumbers on his mind, as he samples a most unusual gin.

MAYBE it was that cucumber in my gin and tonic. After all, gin has never been one of my favourite spirits, mostly because of the strong taste and smell of juniper berries in it. Given a choice, I would choose anything else over a gin cocktail. So imagine my surprise when I tried a gin cocktail and actually liked it, cucumber and all.
