A luxury hotel brand wants to help guests relax and improve their mental and emotional health by working closely with “self-development coach” and author Roxie Nafousi, who wrote the best-selling book, Manifest: 7 Steps To Living Your Best Life.
Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) and Nafousi have created a 15-minute meditation audio that’s free to use by guests at all of the brand’s properties around the globe. That’s a portfolio of over 520 luxury boutique hotels in more than 90 destinations.
What’s more, for those who like the audio or are fans of Nafousi’s book, you can also join an SLH Manifest Masterclass at select properties this year. To find out more about this, just head to the SLH website (slh.com).
The brand aims to help guests expand their holiday horizons by taking part in experiences that are specially curated based on findings of a recent OnePoll survey. According to the survey (conducted by SLH), 50% of the 2,000 respondents claim to have spent more time in their “safe bubble” or comfort zone as a result of the pandemic. Because of this, they claim that they have become less spontaneous or adventurous in making decisions, leaving them feeling uninspired.
However, 40% of the 2,000 respondents think that travelling has helped them feel more energised, while 37% feel rejuvenated, and 34% are inspired.
“Travel does this amazing thing for us, not only does it give us a sense of adventure, but every holiday you go on is an opportunity to grow as a person, to change, to heal something, to take a step back from your life, and really re-evaluate things,” said Nafousi in a statement.
To help ease people into taking the first step out of their comfort zone, SLH is collaborating with Malaysian artist and illustrator Beatrice Oh. Her popular storybook characters Dumpling the Tiger and Li (from her picture book Dumpling The Tiger) will take viewers on adventures around the world, interacting with the local communities in various destinations as they search for Dumpling’s home.
Viewers will be invited to join in their adventures via a series of social media-led activities, including free-to-use digital stickers on Instagram Stories, WhatsApp, LINE and Wechat which can be used to spark the next travel inspiration.
Some of the SLH properties include The Tokyo Station Hotel in Japan, the Nanuku Resort in Fiji, Cape Kudu Hotel in Thailand’s Koh Yao Noi, the Gangtey Lodge in Bhutan and Desa Hay in Bali, Indonesia.
