Fashion’s all ears: Bold earrings can add drama and personality to outfits

Whether dangling, shoulder-skimming or sculptural, bold earrings are among the key accessories this season. With such scene-stealing presence, they’re the only bauble you need to seal the look.

What makes these extravagant ear adornments stand out is that they don’t try to be subtle. They’re meant to be seen.

When it comes to wearing such earrings, the key thing to remember is to let them shine on their own and skip the necklace altogether.

Keep the neckline clean and the focus exactly where it should be. And always wear them with confidence.

Statement earrings have presence, but it’s the way you carry them that truly completes the look.

Pull your hair back, hold your posture and allow that touch of drama to do what it does best, which is to transform even the simplest attire into something unforgettable.

At Giorgio Armani, an ensemble accented with shiny beads, sequins and crystals all over is further enhanced with a pair of blue dangling earrings in a shape that resembles icicles.

Talk about bringing a whole new meaning to cool elegance.

Another stunning pair of danglers comes from the 1970s. These shoulder-grazers, available at Bakhache Jewellery are fashioned in 18K yellow gold and crowned with smooth chrysoprase cabochon.

From each one, a playful pompom sways, a flourish of fine freshwater cultured pearls interspersed with tiny chrysoprase beads.

There’s something delightfully decadent about them, equal parts hippie glamour and artisanal charm.

If you’re really going to go big, make it super bold like Givenchy’s huge hoop clip-on covered with pearls in different sizes.

Not stopping just there, it is also accompanied by an ear cuff just as striking, detailed with multi-sized pearls.

We’re not sure if screen legend Audrey Hepburn, the French brand’s late muse, would approve of the excess, but she might admire the drama.

Equally dazzling are H&M’s sparklers, comprising white and yellow diamantes arranged in cascading tassels alongside faux baroque pearls.

So grand in scale, they almost cover the entire ear!

Speaking of excess, check out Saint Laurent’s Spring/Summer 2026 chandelier earrings, ablaze with orange-hued stone teardrops that spell unapologetic glamour thanks to their theatrical silhouette, generous proportions and vibrant colour.

A stunning pair of swirling diamond earrings, totalling 13.45 carats and set in white gold, was recently spotted on Paris Hilton at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

From the Swiss maison’s Precious Lace collection, the exquisite creation draped on the media personality is pure red-carpet radiance.

They’re intricate, light-catching and impossible to ignore.
