Hedi Slimane rebuilds the Celine fashion house in his own image

Superstar designer Hedi Slimane returned to the Paris catwalk last Friday after a two-year absence with a slash and burn revamp of Celine that declared that black is back.

With his two biggest fans, Lady Gaga and Karl Lagerfeld, sitting next to each other in the front row, Slimane drew a pitch-black portrait of his hometown which he called “Paris The Night”.
