This year may have already seen the release of two other movies with the Krampus as a major character – the quite good A Christmas Horror Story and the quite bad Krampus: The Reckoning – but if you only have to watch one Krampus movie, or maybe even only one Christmas movie this year, then by all means make it this one.
This particular Krampus notches a great many achievements, but the most admirable one is in writer-director Michael Dougherty’s complete control and command of his film’s tone.
