One thing that defines Malaysia is the sun. We bask in intense sunshine most days, unlike temperate countries that endure many days of grey skies.
So it’s a paradox that although Malaysia has some of the highest solar irradiance globally, we barely tap into this natural resource to power the country. Solar energy contributes to less than 2% of power generation in Malaysia.
