Cervical cancer remains the fourth most common cancer in women worldwide, yet it is one of the most preventable diseases through early screening, awareness and vaccination.

“Still, around half of cervical cancer cases are diagnosed at late stages, particularly among women in lower- and middle-income countries,” says Universiti Malaya Medical Centre consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist Prof Dr Woo Yin Ling.
