Wash your hands properly and frequently, with water and soap, or waterless alcohol-based hand sanitisers.
Cook all poultry products, including meat and eggs, thoroughly.
Do not purchase poultry products that are sold at extremely low prices, as these products may have been smuggled in from affected countries.
All employees of poultry farms (including backyard farms) should wear proper protective clothing and practise good hygiene.
