Well, today’s generation of orthodontia-destined youths more often gets braces while still getting money from the tooth fairy. And they’ll likely get those braces twice. The so-called “two-phase orthodontia”, which includes paediatric and adolescent phases, has replaced one-phase orthodontia in as many as 80% of cases, according to some estimates.
