Last week, China’s safety watchdog said it found one in 10 toys in the domestic market to be unsafe. Some of the products “contained heavy metals such as lead and chromium, which can be poisonous, while other products had sharp edges and dangerous protuberances”, a statement by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said.
