Turning sounds into words and the use of such words.

YOU have seen it all in the sci-fi (science-fiction) movies – the dogfights, the collisions, the explosions in a galaxy far, far away. You have heard all those associated sounds amplified to the nth degree. Don’t you believe the hype. There are no such sounds – in the vacuum of space (“in the silence of space”), there is no physical medium to transmit sound waves.
