Despite protests, Britain struggles to tackle violence against women

By AGENCY

Britain is still grappling with violence against women, a problem that persists despite the promises made after Sarah Everard's brutal murder by a police officer.

Everard was stopped by the policeman in March 2021, then kidnapped, raped and murdered. "She was just walking home" - a fact that became a slogan in rallies attended by thousands of women looking to express their anger and distress.
