Imagine if you had a magic mirror that could make your dreams come true. Would you like to travel back in time or leap into the future? Or would you like to meet your favourite fairy tale characters or visit your dream country?
Recently, we asked Starchild readers to share their thoughts on the topic, Magic Mirror. Let's see what they had to say.

Eight-year-old Wong Zhi Ying wants her magic mirror to allow her to live in Japan by 2034. "I will become a famous actress by then, and I'll be acting in movies. I would be the voice actor for Pikachu in a Pokemon movie. In Japan, my family and I will eat sushi and other scrumptious Japanese food. I would go to Disneyland often."

"An evil witch enchanted my mirror! It took me to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which is from J.K. Rowling's series of books, Harry Potter. I had so much fun there. Now, I use my magical mirror to take me to different places," says Sophie Yap Jyn Qing, nine.

Younger sibling Claire Yap Jyn Wei, seven, writes: "A wizard came into my bedroom and cast a spell on my magic mirror while I was still asleep. When I woke up, I was in a place filled with Harry Potter characters in Lego bricks. And I too was made of Lego bricks. And the coolest part was I had a wand, in my Lego hand."
Jodie Tan Li Juen, 12, says, "If I had the magic mirror, I could do many things with it. For example, I would like to go to a fairy tale land because it's colourful, and fun. There, I would meet the dragons, fairies and wizards. I wish the magic mirror would bring me to explore anything from up in the sky to the deep ocean."

Jayden Tan Li Sheng, nine, writes, "If I had the magic mirror, I would wish to leap into the future where cars could fly. We could even use flying skateboards. With the magic mirror too, I would use the flying skateboard to enter inside computer games like Among Us and Minecraft to have a few battles with the gang inside the games."
"With a magic mirror, I will pay a visit to the cartoon character George from the animated TV series, Curious George. He is such a clever and funny monkey. I would like to be his friend," says Asher Wang Qi Chuen, four.

Seven-year-old Bethany Wang Qi Syuen wants to visit the land of the dinosaurs. "Magic mirror on the wall, please grant my wish. It would be fun to ride on the back of a flying pterodactyl and slide down the back of a friendly brachiosaurus."

"I wish the magic mirror can make me become a pretty princess. I also wish the magic mirror will get rid of all the Covid-19 viruses. My dream is to play freely with my friends in school," writes Wong Jie Ern, six.

Older sibling Wong Cheng Yang, eight, wants to have three wishes when I get a magic mirror. "First, I wish for everyone to be immortal so that my family and friends will stay with me forever. Secondly, I wish the pandemic will go away. Lastly, I wish everyone can have a lot of money and buy whatever we want. The magic mirror is the best!"

"If I have the magic mirror, I want to meet the characters Panda, Grizz and Ice Bear from animated TV series, We Bare Bears," says Norlick Titi, seven. - Compiled by Sheela Chandran
