Valentine’s Day was celebrated last Sunday. It is a special day where people – even children – tell their loved ones just how much they care for them. Here’s what Starchild readers had to say on the topic, Valentine’s Day.
“I love my parents, just like how I love my yummy and fruity lollipops. We are a happy family. Thank you, Mum and Dad for taking good care of me, ” says Shobhann Subaash, six.
Aleesha Kaur Saini, 10, says: “I would love to wish Happy Valentine’s Day to my beloved parents, Anand and Rupy.”
“I would like to wish my grandparents a very Happy Valentine’s Day. I wish the Covid-19 virus would go away soon so I could visit you like before. I miss you, ” says Asher Wang Qi Chuen, three.
Six-year-old Bethany Wang Qi Syuen writes: “Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant, is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs. Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!
“Happy Valentine’s Day to my family. I love my mum and dad. Thank you for always taking care of me. You both are the best, ” says Jodie Tan Li Juen, 11.
Younger sibling Jayden Tan Li Sheng, eight, writes: “Roses are red, Violets are blue, My life is blessed, Because I have my family with me.”
“Happy Valentine’s Day to all Starchild readers. May you be safe and loved by your family members and friends, ” says Erin Sonia Colin, 12. – Compiled by Sheela Chandran
