Hong Kong actor Vinci Wong is believed to be starting a new chapter overseas following his high-profile bankruptcy case last year.

According to Hong Kong news portal Dimsum Daily, the 55-year-old is said to be networking with friends from the entertainment industry in Canada.

In a recent Instagram post, Wong shared a selfie and a short video from Canada, along with a lengthy caption reflecting on his life.

"The past six months have felt like a sudden downpour, arriving without warning and leaving without giving anyone the chance to hold on," he wrote.

Wong added that not every turning point in life can be met with calm control, noting that change is an inevitable part of life's progression.

The former TVB star, who previously lived in Vancouver before returning to Hong Kong to pursue an acting career, shared that he has now grown into a new version of himself.

"What once felt impossible to get through has become the road I'm now used to walking. Looking back, the struggles I've faced have become steps leading upwards," he wrote.

At the end of his post, Wong expressed gratitude to those who stood by him during his darkest moments.

The actor, known for dramas such as Life For Life and Healing Hands II, also said he's fortunate not to have given up despite previously feeling lost.

Wong was declared bankrupt by Hong Kong's High Court in March last year.

He filed for bankruptcy in December 2024 after a credit firm sued him for allegedly failing to repay an unsecured loan of HK$2.8mil (RM1.46mil).
