Taiwanese actress Joe Chen recently celebrated her 47th birthday on April 4.
To mark the occasion, she shared a video on social media, in which she mistakenly placed candles reading "37" on her cake, before correcting them to "47" after a staff jokingly hit her on the back of her head as a reminder.
The light-hearted clip quickly went viral, earning over a million likes on Douyin – China's version of TikTok – and drawing amused reactions from fans online.
Many netizens commented that they would never have guessed the wrong number was used, praising Chen's youthful appearance and saying she looks more like someone in her 20s.
Others also asked her to share her secrets for maintaining such a flawless look.
Over the years, Chen has shared a range of her anti-ageing tips and beauty habits.
According to the Fated To Love You star, one of her go-to drinks is unsweetened or low-sugar soy milk.
She said it not only helps support collagen production and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, but also helps regulate hormones, resulting in a more radiant complexion.
To maintain her figure, Chen - who married Malaysian artist Alan Chen in 2022 - also includes grapefruit in her diet.
Joe Chen eats half a grapefruit with every meal for 12 consecutive days, followed by a two-day break where she allows herself to eat freely before repeating the cycle.
She once revealed that she lost 3kg in just six days while following this regimen but cautioned fans against extreme dieting, saying: "You can't continuously be on this diet."
Aside from dietary habits, Chen also undergoes acupuncture treatments, which she says help relieve shoulder and neck pain while also tightening her facial features.
She's also a fan of long bath soaks, which she believes help promote blood circulation, relax muscles and reduce water retention, ultimately refining body contours.
