Brandi Glanville learned the hard way that social media might not be the best place to turn for medical advice, after needing urgent care to help remove garlic she’d shoved in her ear.

The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star, 53, shared on a recent episode of her Unfiltered podcast that she “didn’t do anything” over the Easter holiday after her attempt “to clear my sinuses” went awry.

“I got a piece of garlic stuck in my ear,” said the reality TV alum.

She explained that she caught a cold from 18-year-old son, Jake – Glanville shares Jake and Mason, 22, with ex-husband Eddie Cibrian.

“And then on Easter, I didn’t do anything because of my garlic in my ear,” she said. “Every time I tried to get it out, it really went down further. And I had to go to urgent care the next day and get it taken out. I was just trying to clear my sinuses.”

She added a word of advice to listeners: “Don’t listen to people online or TikTok, or Instagram, or Twitter or Facebook.”

The garlic debacle is just the latest in a string of medical mishaps Glanville’s endured in recent years, the most notable of which was a facial parasite. That led to multiple hospital stints in 2024 as she tried to unearth what’d caused it.

While some doctors attributed it to “a parasite that jumps around my face,” others blamed “stress induced edema.” Glanville at the time joked, “I personally say it’s Bravo.”

Earlier this year, Glanville told TMZ that the infection had been caused by ruptured breast implants, after she neglected to change them “at 10 years,” and said the parasite made her look like she’d “age[d] 20 years overnight.”

Glanville was also hospitalised in October 2023 after collapsing at home. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
