Hari Raya is always sweeter with duit Raya, and for eight-year-old Jebat Jayden – son of local actor Sharnaaz Ahmad and his ex-wife Noor Nabila – this year’s haul is nothing short of impressive.
In an Instagram Story, the young boy revealed that his festive collection reached a staggering RM18,369.
The cash, stacked mainly in RM50 and RM100 notes, was kept in a simple plastic container.
Adding to the festive cheer, Jebat also received several gold bars weighing 1g and 10g.
It’s understood that his gifts came from close relatives, including his aunt, renowned actress and entrepreneur Neelofa.
Many netizens have expressed amazement over Jebat’s impressive fortune at such a young age, with some adding that he’s very lucky to have such huge savings for the future.
“This isn’t ordinary duit Raya – it’s celebrity level. Jebat is so lucky,” one person commented, as quoted by Malay daily Kosmo!.
Another joked: “Meanwhile, my kid would be grateful just to get RM10.”
“This child is so blessed. He already has savings for the future at his young age,” added a third.
For the record, Sharnaaz, 40, and Nabila, 41, married on March 31, 2017, and divorced on July 9, 2020, remaining on good terms as they co-parent their son Jebat.
While Sharnaaz has stayed single since, Nabila later married local entrepreneur Engku Emran Engku Zainal Abidin in 2021, though the marriage ended in divorce in 2023.
