Hong Kong singer Kelly Chen is currently going viral for her response to a pushy male fan who forced his way into an elevator to snap a photo with her.

According to reports, the 53-year-old had just wrapped up a promotional event in China.

As she was leaving, a fan suddenly rushed toward her, appearing visibly agitated as he insisted on taking a photo together.

Staff members quickly stepped in to block him, but the fan pushed past them and forced his way into the confined space, even holding the elevator doors open.

Though initially taken aback, Chen quickly regained her composure and calmly asked the fan to settle down.

When he refused to comply, the singer opted to diffuse the tension by accommodating his request, quietly repeating, “I’ll step out,” as she exited the elevator.

Chen’s gesture seemed to calm the fan, and she even lightened the moment with a quick joke, urging him to hurry as he fumbled with his phone.

Footage of the encounter has since gone viral, with many netizens applauding Chen for staying composed despite the unsettling situation.

Meanwhile, others also slammed the fan for invading Chen’s space and disrespecting her boundaries.

“Kelly is such a good person. She didn’t get angry even after all that. Some fans really don’t know how to respect people at all,” one netizen commented.

Another wrote: “Kelly’s EQ is really high.”
