After an astounding 324 performances, Hong Kong superstar Jacky Cheung has brought his massive 60+ World Tour to a close.
The journey – which began on June 9, 2023, in Macau’s Cotai Arena – culminated in a sold-out finale at the Hong Kong Coliseum on Jan 24.
At a celebratory press conference, Cheung, 64, said he won’t stay "unemployed" for very long as he's already developing concepts for his next musical project.
The Heavenly King also used the occasion to address swirling online rumours since the tour began – including health concerns and claims of a monumental debt.
On rumours of having a massive debt, Cheung emphasised that he's naturally frugal and has always been in the habit of saving.
"Explaining too much might seem like I'm hiding something, but the truth is I have no debts and don't borrow money. I don't even have the contacts of any lending companies," he said.
Meanwhile, rumours about Cheung suffering from liver problems surfaced recently after a Xiaohongshu user shared a photo showing the singer's palms appearing yellow.
Responding to the speculation, the God Of Songs clarified it was all a misunderstanding: "I held a large incense stick while praying before a performance, and my palms were stained yellow."
Despite the rumours, Cheung remained composed, responding with grace, noting that as a public figure, speculations are inevitable.
"In today's era where information online can't be controlled, all one can learn to do is to adapt," he said.
