Hong Kong actor Sean Lau and former Miss Hong Kong winner Amy Kwok have been married for nearly 30 years, and they are often regarded as a model pair in the entertainment industry.

According to Oriental Daily, the celebrity couple – who often keep a low profile – were recently spotted enjoying a trip together in Dali and Lijiang in China's Yunnan province.

Dressed in a simple manner, both of them initially went unnoticed.

It was only when Lau, 61, spoke Cantonese in his distinctive voice that onlookers finally realised who he was and asked for photos.

Fans who bumped into the actor praised his down-to-earth nature, noting that he gladly posed for pictures when asked and even made an effort to chat briefly with them.

Others also shared that Lau and Kwok, 58, were very affectionate during the trip, staying close to each other wherever they went.

"He is truly Mr Friendly Citizen Lau," said one netizen.

Another added: "Sean and Amy truly embody simple yet genuine happiness."

For the record, Lau and Kwok started dating after meeting on the set of the 1992 TVB drama The Greed Of Man.

The couple tied the knot in 1998 after six years of dating.
