Hong Kong actress Selena Lee has reconciled with her ex, fitness coach Anson Cha, 10 months after calling off their engagement.

The pair revealed they still had feelings for each other in the finale of the Chinese reality programme See You Again 5, which aired last week.

It's reported that throughout the show, Lee consistently voiced frustration with Cha for being inattentive – a recurring issue that led to multiple breakups and reconciliations over the years.

The 44-year-old lamented that in 2022, she underwent four eye surgeries, yet Cha never once accompanied her to her appointments or asked about her financial situation.

"I spent a hefty sum on surgeries and had no work. How could you not even ask if I needed financial support?" she questioned in one of the episodes.

To this, Cha expressed regret, saying he had assumed Lee could cope on her own.

He added that his ultimate goal is to start fresh with Lee: "I still love her just the same – that has never changed."

Despite unresolved tensions, Lee said in the show's finale that the 18 days spent together had allowed her to see small changes in Cha, which made her willing to give him another chance.

"I'm a soft-hearted person and can't bear to see him unhappy. Seeing how much effort he's put in truly makes my heart ache for him," she shared.

The actress added that while their reconciliation doesn't mean they're immediately back together, she wants to see if that small bit of hope can grow into something bigger.

For the record, Lee and Cha met in 2016 and had an on-and-off relationship for years.

The pair got engaged in 2021 but announced their amicable separation on Feb 9 last year.
