Jellybean, the well-loved influencer cat from Johan And His Cats, died on Nov 25, leaving fans and followers mourning the loss of one of Malaysia’s most recognisable feline personalities on social media.

The news was shared by owner Johan Eskandar Mohd Najib through an Instagram post after more than a month of keeping the matter private.

He said Jellybean died unexpectedly despite being in good health and showing no signs of illness.

“While Jellybean was healthy, had just finished playing and eating, Allah took her. It was a very sudden incident.

“Jellybean was not just a cat, she was Johan’s princess, Johan’s baby and everyone’s princess,” he said.

Johan said he chose to accept Jellybean’s passing with an open and accepting heart.
