Hong Kong celebrity couple Liza Wang and Law Kar-ying may have been married since 2009, but it was only recently that the couple had their first formal wedding photoshoot.

According to reports, Wang, 78, and Law, 79, recently travelled to Bhutan to shoot the TVB travel reality show, Take Liza To The World.

With the production team's assistance, they donned traditional Bhutanese clothing to take their wedding photos and also took part in a blessing ceremony.

In an interview with Hong Kong media, Wang shared her excitement over finally fulfilling this longtime wish.

"We got married in the United States but never wore traditional attire to take photos.

"He (Law) often asked me when we would take some, but I never gave him a definite answer," she said.

The actress shared that she never imagined she would take her wedding photos in Bhutan or receive blessings from the locals there.

"It was truly unforgettable," she said.

Law, beloved for his optimism in addition to his impeccable singing skills, humorously added they should take their wedding photos while they were "still young and good-looking".

"I had originally thought about going to South Korea to take Western-style wedding photos, but when I arrived in Bhutan, I told the producer about (taking the photos), and he secretly arranged everything.

"I'm really happy. I finally fulfilled my wish," he said.

According to reports, Law proposed to Wang over 20 times since they began dating in 1989.

The couple tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2009.

When Law was first diagnosed with liver cancer in 2004 and had to undergo a life-saving liver removal surgery, Wang stood by his side and offered unwavering support.

The Cantonese opera singer has credited his wife for helping him stay optimistic throughout that difficult period.
