Malaysian superstar Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh recently honoured her late father, Datuk Yeoh Kian Teik, in celebration of what would’ve been his 100th birthday.

On Oct 25, the 63-year-old, whose mother is Datin Janet Yeoh, took to Instagram and Facebook to share four family photos.

Two were group portraits, one captured the Oscar winner lovingly embracing her father and another featured Michelle and her French husband Jean Todt posing beside him.

In a simple yet deeply emotional caption, Michelle wrote: “Happy 100 Daddy… I miss you everyday still… Love you.”

Fans were moved by her post, with many leaving warm birthday wishes for her late father.

Others also took a moment to praise him for raising such an extraordinary and talented daughter who continues to make Malaysia proud.

“Uncle Yeoh is surely smiling proudly from above. Happy heavenly 100th birthday to him,” one netizen commented.

Another added: “He’s gotta be a great soul to have such a great daughter, along with a big flock of family and friends.”

For the record, Kian Teik – a former Perak MCA chairman – passed away peacefully of old age at his home in Ipoh on Nov 5, 2014.

Besides his role in politics, Kian Teik was also known as the man behind the city's popular express bus service Sri Maju, which started in 1975 with the Ipoh-Singapore route.

In a past interview with local media, Michelle revealed that she was shooting for a television series called Strike Back in Budapest when she received a call from her family on her dad's health condition.

She also shared that she's happy she got to spend some time with her father prior to his passing.
