Hong Kong actor Roger Kwok shocked fans last year after announcing his divorce from former TVB star Cindy Au, ending their 18-year marriage.

The pair, who tied the knot in 2006, share a 17-year-old son Brad and a 14-year-old daughter Blair.

In a recent interview with Hong Kong’s Oriental Daily, Kwok, 61, opened up about his personal life, saying that while he’s open to the idea of new love, he isn’t actively seeking it right now.

“Love isn’t something you go looking for, but something that’s arranged. Looking back, every relationship I’ve had in life was the result of fate’s arrangement,” he said.

The Life Made Simple actor shared that his two children fully support him in finding love again, even encouraging him to start a new relationship soon.

“Both of my kids are mature and open-minded. I’ve always made it a point to communicate with them openly, even when it came to discussing my divorce.

“I try to be mindful of their feelings and give them the confidence to explore love and grow up in a healthy way,” he said.

Earlier in May, rumours surfaced that Kwok was romantically linked to 23-year-old actress Hilary Chong after tabloids claimed he had been giving her private tennis lessons following their collaboration on the TVB drama Golden Forest.

However, Kwok swiftly shut down the rumours, urging the public not to make “wild guesses,” as such speculation could hinder his chances of meeting his true soulmate.

Meanwhile, Au, 45, is rumoured to be dating again after she was recently spotted enjoying a meal with a man at a restaurant.

When asked by the media for a comment, she neither confirmed nor denied the news, simply replying: “I’m keeping a low profile.”
