Hong Kong actors Hera Chan and Hugo Wong were in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday (Oct 21) to attend the signing ceremony between property developer Armani Group and broadcaster TVBI Company Limited.

Following the event, the duo sat down for a group interview with local media, where they shared their fond impressions of Malaysia.

Chan, 30, said she’s fallen so in love with the country that she’s considering buying a home here in the future.

“I hope I’ll get more job offers so I can live here. I can shuffle between Hong Kong and Malaysia,” she added with a smile.

The actress also shared that she’s interested in trying her hand at property investment someday.

“But making money is so difficult!” she lamented.

That’s why she doesn’t mind keeping a packed schedule, with several dramas lined up for the coming year – the most notable title being the second season of TVB’s award-winning drama The Queen Of News.

“I always want to make more money. I’m not afraid of juggling multiple projects,” she said.

Meanwhile, Wong – who recently took part in a charity event in Sabah with fellow TVB star Elaine Yiu – said he’s no stranger to East Malaysia, having visited the region many times.

“In the past few months, I’ve been there maybe four or five times.

“However, I haven’t gotten the chance to explore Mount Kinabalu and Semporna yet, so I’m planning stop by those locations later,” the 43-year-old said.

When asked if he’d consider living in Malaysia someday, given how often he visits, Wong nodded, saying he loves the overall living environment here.

“I like the urban vibe of KL and love the suburbs and seaside just as much. The pace of life here feels just right,” he added.
