A Chinese netizen recently shared on social media how a kind stranger came to her aid when her oversized luggage and baby stroller blocked the aisle of a high-speed train.

That stranger turned out to be none other than Hong Kong singer-actor Julian Cheung.

The woman later took to Xiaohongshu to thank the 54-year-old artiste.

“Thank you, Mr Julian Cheung, a warm-hearted citizen of Hong Kong,” she wrote, as translated by Dimsum Daily.

According to her, the bulky items had made it difficult for other passengers boarding the train to pass.

A masked man dressed in black then stepped forward to move her luggage and stroller from the front to the back of the train.

After the train departed, she seeked him out to express her gratitude.

“Given how heavy my luggage was, I wasn’t sure how to thank him. Should I send a small red envelope or invite him for a drink? When he removed his mask, I was completely stunned. Thank you, Mr Julian Cheung!” she shared.

She also extended her thanks to the train staff, though it was ultimately Cheung who stepped in at the crucial moment.

Explaining why she posted about the incident, the passenger said she wanted to highlight Cheung’s kindness and encourage others to lend a helping hand whenever possible.

“He truly deserves recognition. I hope to be someone who can also ‘hold an umbrella’ for others in times of need,” she added.
