Businessman Meng Tong, the husband of Chinese singer Na Ying, is facing cheating allegations after paparazzi released footage of him getting chummy with another woman at a bar.

In the viral video, the woman is seen leaning her head on Meng’s shoulder and later holding onto his arm as they left together.

The pair then got into a car and drove straight to Na Ying’s residence.

Several netizens alleged that on the same night Meng brought the woman home, Na Ying was in London visiting their 18-year-old daughter Xiaotong, who’s studying there.

In response to the rumours, Meng denied cheating and said he had merely been celebrating the opening of a new bar with longtime friends and business partners.

Addressing the footage of the woman holding onto his arm, he clarified that she was simply helping him into the car because of a leg injury. Since they happened to be neighbours, he offered her a ride home.

Meng apologised for his lack of discretion and promised to be more mindful of his actions in the future.

He also warned that he would take legal action against those spreading false and malicious rumours.

Na Ying tied the knot with Meng in 2006.

She was previously married to former Chinese footballer Gao Feng between 2004 and 2005, with whom she has a 19-year-old son.
