Taiwanese artiste Kenji Wu, who famously dated Laurinda Ho – daughter of the late casino tycoon Stanley Ho – is winning netizens over with his humility.

The 45-year-old recently went viral after multiple videos of him selling fruits on the streets of Guangxi, China, began circulating on social media.

In the clips posted on Xiaohongshu (Red Note), Wu was seen greeting customers, carefully picking out fruits, weighing them and packing them at a roadside stall.

Dressed casually in a white tank top, brown knee-length shorts and slippers, he blended seamlessly into the everyday crowd.

While the viral moment initially sparked rumours that Wu had quit showbiz, eagle-eyed fans noticed a microphone clipped to his shirt and concluded that he was likely filming for a show.

Reports also suggest that he's simply lending a hand to the farmers while experiencing rural life.

In other videos, Wu was spotted enjoying a meal at a stall. Upon noticing curious passersby, he generously shared his food.

Those who chanced upon him complimented his easygoing and friendly nature, generosity and humility.

Since debuting in 2000, Wu has won over fans with songs such as Wu Ke Qun, Bu Xie Ji Nian, Cripple and his hit album Poems For You.

In addition to his music career, Wu has also ventured into acting, appearing in films like Rain Coat (2003), The Fatality (2008) and The Old Cinderella (2014), among others.
