Former Hong Kong actress Anna Ueyama recently rang in her 60th birthday with a series of celebrations among friends.
On Aug 26, Anna took to Instagram to share photos from one of the gatherings – a simple yet glittering affair attended by well-known faces.
Among the guests were acclaimed actor Tony Leung and his wife Carina Lau, TVB general manager Eric Tsang, singer Alex To and musician Kenny Bee, among others.
In the pictures, Anna – a former TVB star of Chinese and Japanese heritage – beamed as she posed with two birthday cakes.
One was a two-tiered blue cake adorned with flowers of the same colour, while another was a simple creation prepared by Bee and his wife Fan Jiang.
“Had a very, very happy night with all my good old friends! Love you all,” Anna wrote in the caption.
Anna, who joined the showbiz in 1985, has starred in films such as Mismatched Couples (1985), Scared Stiff (1987) and The Romancing Star (1987).
She quietly stepped away from the entertainment scene a few years later and is now reportedly working in the insurance industry.
