Hong Kong actor Roger Kwok recently made headlines after he was seen handing out flyers on the streets to promote his company.

In recent years, the 60-year-old has been focusing on managing a business venture with his sister Gammy, successfully steering it to a public listing.

Despite being a three-time Best Actor at the TVB Anniversary Awards, Kwok revealed in a video that most passersby didn’t recognise him, with some even deliberately avoiding contact.

While a few people acknowledged who he was, their reactions were mostly muted.

Still, Kwok took the experience in stride, assuring that he wasn’t bothered by the lukewarm response.

“Don't care too much about how others see you because, honestly, they’re not paying attention. Just look at me handing out flyers... No one even noticed,” he said.

The actor also shared some words of wisdom, adding: “The most important thing is to live for yourself and be happy. As the saying goes, happiness is key, and the best way to stay healthy is to nourish the heart.”

In the end, Kwok was unable to give away his last flyer – a moment he laughed off.

Wrapping up the video on a playful note, the actor asked viewers: “Next time, would you take a flyer from me if you see me?”

Kwok – who was married to singer-actress Cindy Au between 2006 and 2024 – is known for his roles in the dramas Square Pegs (2003), Life Made Simple (2005) and Black Heart White Soul (2014).

The aforementioned projects earned him the Best Actor title at the TVB Anniversary Awards and the Favourite TVB Actor laurel at the TVB Star Awards Malaysia.
