Cancer survivor Vicki Belo addressed the unsolicited comments about her boobs, with the celebrity doctor saying her breasts are uneven because of a surgery she underwent to remove a tumour in it.
Belo spoke up on the matter after the comments sections of her TikTok page were bombarded with netizens pointing out her breast asymmetry.
“I thought I’d address it because baka you think my breasts were done in Belo and it’s uneven — that’s so not true,” the Filipina said in a video shared on April 2, referring to her aesthetics clinic.
“If you recall, I had breast cancer nine years ago and my tumour was actually five cm by seven cm big on my left breast. They took out the tumour,” she recounted.
Explaining why one of her breasts is bigger than the other, Belo continued: “They put something in and I don’t even know what it is. I asked my doctor, he told me it’s tissue but it’s not silicone. It’s something much harder.”
Belo further noted that three lymph nodes were removed from her underarm, which was the reason why it is a bit deep on one side.
“I just think I wanted to clear it up because I don’t want you to think that’s what happens to boobs in Belo. We do boobs very, very well,” she stressed.
The celebrity doctor then turned teary-eyed as she urged netizens to be kind.
“Please be kind ... You know, I’m a cancer survivor. I was a bit depressed in the beginning but I didn’t let it affect my life,” she said. “I love clothes, I love sleeveless clothes so I still wear them. Anyway, I hope you understand.”
Belo was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2016, and was told by doctors at the time that she only had two years to live. She has been cancer-free for nine years now.
