Taiwanese artiste Bella Su has announced her marriage, six years after the death of her boyfriend, actor Godfrey Gao.
In an Instagram post on March 18, Su shared a photo of herself embracing her husband, with his face hidden from the camera. It's believed that he's from outside the entertainment industry.
The singer poured her heart out in the caption, sharing how she never expected to find someone who would walk beside her, challenge her, reflect her growth and connect with her in a way words can’t fully capture.
“I never searched for certainty or tried to force things into place – I simply followed the path as it came.
“With him, it’s more than love – it’s a deep understanding, a quiet knowing, a connection that feels both grounding and expansive,” she wrote.
The 28-year-old, who made her singing debut in 2023, went on to describe her husband as her “greatest support” and “deepest anchor”.
“He sees me not just for who I am today, but for who I am becoming.
“He challenges me to grow, to think, to feel more deeply, while still making me feel completely safe and understood.
“I’ve married the person who is willing to walk beside me through every chapter, every challenge, and every joy,” she said.
Su added that she wants to protect this new chapter in her life, which is why she has chosen to keep her life with her husband private.
The What We On singer also thanked her fans for their unwavering support and for sharing their struggles, growth and dreams with her.
“Today, I just want to say thank you – for being here, for allowing me to share my life with you, and for celebrating this new chapter with me,” she concluded.
Su had previously dated Gao for three years before his untimely passing from cardiac arrest on Nov 27, 2019. He was 35.
The late actor had planned to propose to Su at a dinner with both their parents, which was meant to take place just a day after his death.
