American actress Megan Fox (pic) has reportedly split with American rapper Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), just weeks after the couple announced they are expecting.

According to American tabloid TMZ, Fox and MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, broke up over the Thanksgiving holiday period in the United States, which was around end-November. Representatives for the stars have yet to confirm the split.

TMZ said the Transformers (2007 and 2009) star had found “upsetting” material on MGK’s phone while they were spending the holidays in Vail, Colorado, and wanted the musician to leave the trip early. Since then, they have not seen each other.

The news comes just weeks after Fox, 38, announced her pregnancy via Instagram on Nov 12. She posted a photo of herself covered in black ink while cradling her baby bump and tagged MGK, 34, in it. The post included another photo of a positive pregnancy test.

The caption read: “Nothing is ever really lost. Welcome back.”

Amid the break-up rumours, Fox’s Instagram has been wiped clean, with only the pregnancy announcement still remaining on her page.

She had previously revealed in her poetry collection Pretty Boys Are Poisonous (2023) that she suffered a miscarriage while she was with MGK. She later revealed in an interview on television programme Good Morning America that the loss was “very difficult” for both of them.

The couple first met in 2020 on the set of the crime thriller Midnight In The Switchgrass (2021) and played lovers in MGK’s music video for his song Bloody Valentine (2020). They went public with their romance in June that year, shortly after Fox announced her split from American actor Brian Austin Green after a nearly 10-year marriage.

Fox and Green have three sons together. MGK has a 15-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
