Popular Hong Kong actor Lai Lok Yi is currently in Malaysia to film a cooking show for a healthcare brand.

The 44-year-old was recently spotted grocery shopping at 1 Utama Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Lucky fans who had the chance to meet the TVB star shared their excitement on social media.

One netizen posted a video of Lai, who looked effortlessly stylish in a white sweatshirt and light blue jeans, and praised his fit physique.

She also asked the actor to wish the public a Happy New Year on camera – a request he gladly fulfilled.

Another fan posted a photo of Lai having lunch, alongside a caption that said: “Still a handsome idol.”

Many netizens have since left messages welcoming Lai to Malaysia while others praised his youthful appearance.

“You are so lucky to meet him! It’s like he never ages,” one person commented.

“I wish I could be that close to him for a chat,” said another.

Lai, best known for his performance in the TVB sitcom Come Home Love, has scaled back his acting career in recent years to focus on behind-the-scenes work as a producer.

He’s also a skilled cook who has recently ventured into the food and beverage industry.
