Hong Kong superstar Chow Yun Fat has been in the entertainment scene for over five decades and reportedly has a fortune of HK$5.6bil (RM3.2bil), according to China Press.

Despite his wealth, recent photos of his sister Chung Ling, seen sleeping on a park bench, have been published by Hong Kong media.

Some outlets even suggested that Chung Ling could be sleeping in a public area due to a lack of financial support from her famous brother.

However, sharp-eyed netizens quickly pointed out that although Chung Ling was dressed casually, the professional camera in her hands came with a hefty price tag.

It’s reported that the 77-year-old is an avid photography enthusiast who has even held exhibitions in Hong Kong.

Chung Ling has since stepped forward to clear the air, making it clear that the pictures were taken out of context and that she was just resting on the bench while working in the park.

She also rubbished rumours of mistreatment by Chow, adding that her brother had generously bought homes for his siblings, for which they remain deeply grateful.

“I’m capable of working and don’t need to rely on anyone. I’m proud to be independent,” she said.
