The Korean Film Festival 2024 will be held from Aug 23 to 25 at Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) in Gurney Plaza, Penang, and Mid Valley, Kuala Lumpur.

In conjunction with Visit Korea Year 2023-2024, this year's festival will feature three films that highlight Korea's beautiful nature and diverse cuisine.

All films are free to the public, with tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis through GSC epayment (website and app) or at ticketing kiosks at participating outlets starting at noon on Aug 16.

These are the films which will be shown during the film festival:

Our Season – In this 2023 release, the deceased Bok-ja is granted permission to return to Earth for three days. She is disappointed to find that her daughter is not working as a professor at a presitigious US university. Instead, she is running a small restaurant in Gimcheon.

Picnic – Released earlier this year, Picnic tells the story of a woman in her 70s who returns to her hometown after decades away. There, she reunites with her childhood friends and reflect on the times they've spent together and apart.

Canola – Gae-chun reunites with her granddaughter after the latter goes missing for 12 years. Unfortunately, their relationship turns sour after an unpleasant story is revealed. Youn Yuh-jung, who won Best Supporting Actress Ocsar for her role in Minari, stars in this 2016 release.
