Hong Kong artiste Sammi Cheng recently shocked fans by performing a surprise duet with her husband, singer-actor Andy Hui, at her concert.

This marks the couple’s first public appearance together since Hui’s cheating scandal in 2019.

According to reports, Cheng successfully completed the first of her 13 You & Mi World Tour shows at the Hong Kong Coliseum after a one-year delay due to illness.

The 51-year-old entertained the audience for over three hours, performing 38 songs and showcasing 16 different outfits.

However, the highlight of the evening came when Hui made a surprise appearance towards the end of the show.

Cheng was performing Hui’s hit song, Fireworks At The End Of The Century, when the lights came on to reveal her husband accompanying her on the piano on stage.

Hong Kong media reported Hui and Cheng exchanging “sweet smiles” and nodding to encourage each other after the performance.

Although there was not much interaction between the couple, Hui’s unexpected appearance drew cheers from the crowd.

It’s reported that the 56-year-old will join Cheng for all her remaining shows in the tour.

In 2019, Hui was caught on camera holding hands and kissing former TVB star Jacqueline Wong in the backseat of a taxi, despite already being married to Cheng.

Hours after footage of the event went viral on social media, Hui held a press conference to apologise to Cheng, who publicly forgave him.

Hui and Cheng had an on-and-off relationship for 20 years before tying the knot in 2013.
