Ruhainies, the actress in the middle of the Aliff Aziz-Bella Astillah controversy, has broken her silence.

The Malaysian actress took to Instagram this morning (April 26) to issue a statement.

In the statement, Ruhainies apologised to Aliff's estranged wife Bella and said she hopes to meet up with her.

"I would like to say a few words today in regards to the current issues that has been on going. I chose to keep quiet... to avoid fighting on social media and further extending the issue," Ruhainies, 31, said.

"With my humblest of apologies, I would like to sincerely apologize to @bellaastillah for everything that has happened. I would like to meet with you as well to clear the air so we can close this book and move forward and be happy again," she added.

This statement came after an avalanche of text messages released by Aliff's scorned lover Sarah Yasmine early this week that implicated an individual named "NRF" badmouthing Bella, among other things. Sarah claimed NRF is Ruhainies, whose real name is Nur Ruhainies Farehah Zainul Ilyas.

In one of the messages released, "NRF" questioned Bella's action of sharing the issue publicly even though she and Aliff had kept silent.

"It's OK, that's three months away. Don't think about it now. Let's focus on what's in front of us first. We have been patient enough. Haven't said anything for two weeks now. When will she stop? We need to stop her from talking anymore,” NRF allegedly wrote to Aliff, 33.

Last Monday, Sarah became a topic of conversation after she claimed to be Aliff's girlfriend and they had started getting close since January.

In her statement this morning, Ruhainies also invited Sarah for a meeting.

"I would also like to extend my sincerest of invites to @sarahyasminekh as well, to join us so we can, as well clear the air on everything that has been ongoing and settle everything," she said.

On March 9, Aliff and Ruhainies were detained by the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) at a condominium in Kuala Lumpur on suspicion of khalwat (close proximity).

Bella, 30, filed for divorce soon after the suspected khalwat case came to light. But at the proceeding on April 4, Aliff refused to divorce her.
