In the midst of a promotional cycle for her latest album and coinciding film, Jennifer Lopez has dropped a new song detailing the steamy side of her romance with Ben Affleck.
The 54-year-old Grammy nominee offers a glimpse into her sex life with her husband on the track Greatest Love Story Never Told from her new opus, This Is Me... Now.
This is obvious from the early verse of the mid-tempo bop.
J.Lo goes on to acknowledge how the Hollywood power couple reunited 17 years after they first broke up, singing, “It’s destiny/ How we found each other twice in one lifetime.”
“Twenty years ago, feels like time has froze/ We’re living in the greatest love story ever told/ We never let it go and never told a soul/ We could’ve been the greatest love story never told,” she croons in the chorus.
The new single is the final track off J.Lo’s ninth studio album, which she previously said was inspired by her romance with Affleck, 51.
The couple began dating in the early aughts and got engaged, but called off their 2003 wedding just one day before the ceremony. They officially broke up a few months later and went on to marry other people and start families.
But in 2021 – after they divorced their respective spouses, Marc Anthony and Jennifer Garner – they rekindled their romance and wed in the summer of 2022.
“I feel like this is the best album that I’ve ever made,” Lopez, who has now been married four times, said in a recent interview. “The most honest and true – it took a long time for me as a musical artiste to get there. I’m really happy and proud of this in a way that I don’t think I ever have been before.”
Lopez on Friday (Feb 16) released an accompanying Prime Video musical film, This Is Me... Now: A Love Story, and plans to chronicle the making of both projects in her upcoming documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told, due out Feb 27. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
