Malaysian actress Puteri Sarah Liyana has taken legal action against a marketing officer for spreading defamatory remarks about her on social media and is demanding RM1mil in compensation.

In a legal notice shared by the 38-year-old on Instagram, it is stated that the marketing officer had called Puteri Sarah an "arrogant fool" and accused her of taking drugs and mistreating her workers.

The notice also asks the said person to retract the "false and defamatory" statements and issue a public apology to the actress.

It further stated that Puteri Sarah is in the process of obtaining an injunction order to prevent the marketing officer from making similar allegations in the future.

Last month, Puteri Sarah said in a TikTok live stream that she will be taking legal action against an individual who absconded with RM26,000 in wages without her knowledge.

The Andai Itu Takdirnya (2023) star added at the time that she had been working with the individual in question since October last year to market her products, but the work done did not meet her set standards.
