Hong Kong actor Lee Lung Kei has responded to the cheating claims against his 36-year-old fiancee Chris Wong.

The allegations came after a YouTuber released several old photos of Wong with another man. The former could be seen kissing the man in one photo and posing with a "Bride to be" crown in another.

One particular picture, believed to be taken in October 2018, showed the pair blowing out candles on a cake together with a ring box in the background.

This raised suspicion on whether Wong had already married in 2018 while currently dating Lee.

Addressing the claims in an interview with HK01, Lee confirmed that the man was Wong's ex-lover but dispelled any claims of infidelity.

"I visited Chris in Phoenix, Arizona in late September and left on Oct 2. Her uncle threw a birthday party for her on Oct 17 and a man proposed to her then.

"I believe that if I hadn't (visited Wong), there's a good chance the proposal would've been successful," said the 73-year-old.

Lee disclosed that he and Wong started dating in August 2019 after his divorce.

He added that Wong hadn't been to the United States since April 2019 and had already ended her previous relationship before getting romantically involved with him.

"Chris knows who she truly loves. Her ex-boyfriend understands that too," he said.

Wong has been facing an avalanche of accusations in recent days – including faking her academic credentials, selling counterfeit artwork and failing to repay debts.

Lee previously expressed his intention to take legal action against those spreading rumours about her.

The former TVB star said in a more recent interview with Hong Kong actor Bowie Wu that he doesn't want to dwell on Wong's past.

"Chris loves me and I love her, that's enough... the past is in the past," Lee said.

"Chris always tells that me she will be well behaved in the future and that's enough. We don't need much."
